Carlos Alcaraz won an epic five-set match (2-6, 6-3, 3-6, 6-4, 6-3) against Jannik Sinner on Friday. Thanks to this victory, the young Spanish player advances to the final of the prestigious Roland Garros tournament for the first time in his career.

The highly anticipated duel finally took place and it was Carlos Alcaraz who emerged victorious in the French Open semi-finals against Jannik Sinner, after five intense sets (2-6, 6-3, 3-6, 6-4, 6-3) and over four hours of play on Friday, June 7, on the Philippe-Chatrier court. This thrilling and uncertain match turned in favor of the Spaniard in the end.

After a disappointing first set, the world number 3 found his game in the second set to outplay the Italian. Despite his 65 winners, the player from Murcia committed 58 unforced errors in his quest to come out on top. In the final set, Carlos Alcaraz, in better physical shape, managed to take the lead early on by breaking his opponent, the future world number 1, who never managed to catch up. This victory qualifies him for his very first final in the prestigious Parisian tournament. He will face either Alexander Zverev or Casper Ruud.
